Do I have to be a model or have modeling experience?
Absolutely not! You will be treated like a real model (pampered!) but I honestly want the more “real” people to come in for these model shoots! I am looking for diversity in my portfolio, so I encourage anyone to apply!

Do I have to pay a session fee?
Nope! The session fee (over $650 value) is waved, and so is any studio fees, if we will use a studio. Generally, this includes hair and makeup (based on availability of the glam squad), a 30 minute photo shoot, all the photo shoot prep, usually includes props that goes with the theme, discounted rates on products.

Instead of a session fee, I ask that each model to pay a deposit to secure your spot, and that deposit will be good towards any product purchase.

What is this deposit? Is it refundable?
The deposit ranges from model call to model call, so I will let you know in the initial email what that is. It is generally less for those in my exclusive Facebook Group, so keep that in mind! (Members of the group hear about these model calls first too!)

The deposit is to secure your spot in the shoot, and you won’t pay until we confirm you are available for that day of the photo shoot.

The deposit is non-refundable, however, you can use it towards your product purchase.

Do I have to pay for digital images?
Yes. The model call shoots do not come with digital images like my regular packages do. However, all of the products you can purchase through the model call is at a reduced rate.

What’s the catch? Why is it so cheap/free?
Because you will be helping my visions as an artist come true, and you are agreeing to be my “models” meaning I can use your photos on my marketing materials.

I don’t want my pictures shared, or at least those with my face in it, is that possible?
Yes - I am open to “no face” agreements. I totally respect that! I am also respectful of “please do not tag me or associate my name with the images” agreement as well.

I will also have you go through the entire gallery, and give you an opportunity to mark certain photos “private”. I ask that you do not mark everything private (that will totally defeat the purpose) but keep at least 50% of the images in to open to share.

However, as part of the model call shoots, I cannot agree to “no photos to be shared”. If you do decide at the end of the shoot and viewing the images that you do not want any of them shared, I will have you ask to pay the normal session fee of $750.

I’m not skinny/not young/have scars/totally awkward, etc. Can you still be your model?
Yes, yes, and yes!!! My photography is not about taking pictures of skinny young perfect models. It’s all about celebrating each and every person’s uniqueness.

What payment options do you accept?
I take all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and cash. Sorry, no checks please.

Do you have any payment plans?
I generally do for my regular bookings, but not for model call shoots. The deposit is due at the time of booking.

I am ready to apply to be a model! What’s next?
Yay! It is seriously going to be one of the coolest things you will ever do for yourself (and/or your partner too).

You can use my model call inquiry page to apply, and I will get back to you with details on my next model shoot! I usually do one every few months. I can’t wait to work with you and amazing images that you can look back on forever!

Model Call Frequently Asked Questions

Here are our most frequently asked questions when it comes to our model calls for boudoir photography. If this is your first ever model call boudoir shoot, I know it can totally be nerve wrecking! Thoughts like “what am I getting myself into!?” may come to mind. Feel free to contact us if you don’t see an answer to your questions!

Things to Know Before Applying

I just applied. What’s next?

I will let you know about the next model shoot coming up, and what the deposit amount for that model call is. I will also let you know the requirements (e.g. must be available during the week, etc.). If you can answer “yes” to all the prerequisites and if it’s something you are interested in, I will put you through to the next round.

The next round is basically going to be selecting the dates you are available. I will determine the date of the shoot based on everyone’s availability. I like to book at least 2-3 models for each shoot. I also coordinate with hair and make up, as well as any studio’s I am using.

If you are the 2-3 models with the right availability, you will be contacted with the next steps!

Those next steps generally are:

A proposal for you to review, sign and make a deposit. This proposal includes - a model release and contract, deposit invoice, and a price list of products (no need to pick at this point, it’s for your reference).

Once that is signed and paid, I will send a questionnaire to get to know you and your style a little more - this is the fun part! Let’s put our creativeness together and make an amazing photo shoot!

A few days to a week before the shoot, I will send you all of the details you need for the photo shoot. What to bring, what to wear, what to expect, where to show up and when, and all other fun stuff!

What if I am not interested in the theme of the model shoot?

If you are not interested in that specific model shoot “theme” that I have coming up, then you can be placed on the model call list of people that I contact when I have another model shoot with a different concept. If you can wait, this is a great way to keep in touch and wait for the right theme for you!

If you are in a time crunch, look into booking a session with me - you can choose your own theme and what kind of photos you want! I have payment plan options to make it easier for you to pay for the experience as well.

the application process

What outfits should I pick? How many should I bring?
It will depend on the theme, but I will generally ask you to bring your own lingerie. You should bring a lot of options - but we will be able to fit in 1-3 outfits per the model call session. Should you want more outfit options included, you may do so for $75 per outfit, which would extend the photo shoot time by 15-30 minutes at a time. If this is the case, please make arrangements with me prior to the shoot so I can time my schedule accordingly.

Once you book with me, I will also provide more detailed guides on what to wear depending on what you want and what the theme of the shoot is!

Do you offer any outfit consultations?
Yes - at no additional charge. Let’s brainstorm together based on the style you are going for, location, and body type.

Do you offer lingerie for purchase/rent?
Yes for purchase, and they are affordable, starting at $25. At this time, I do not rent any lingerie. I may have props for rent depending on what you want! Please inquire before the photo shoot if you are interested in purchasing.

What should I bring?

You will receive a more detailed preparation tips before your session, but generally, bring 3-6 outfits that you feel great in, lots and lots of accessories that you might want to wear, sexy shoes, and any props you may want to use!

What about hair and make up?
Usually, hair and make up is included in my model shoots. Occasionally, however, we may run into finding availability of the hair and makeup artists. In that case, I will let you know well in advance so you can make arrangements to do them yourself, or a friend.

If that friend wants to do makeup and hair for the entire shoot - we would love that too! He/she will be compensated with at least with free photos to build their portfolio, and/or will receive head shots in exchange. Anything beyond that is negotiable.

How do I prepare for my shoot?
I will send you all the details after the booking is complete! Everything including where to meet, what to bring, body prep instructions, and all the pump-you-up details that you need!

Before Your Photo Shoot

Where would the shoot take place?
It will depend on the theme of the shoot. Sometimes it will be at a studio, hotel, or some other indoor location. Sometimes it may be a cool, discrete outdoor location!

I am going to be so awkward - what do I do? How do I pose?
It will be a bit of a workout, and you will learn moves that you can take home to your significant other. :)

All joking aside, this is probably the #1 hesitation I hear towards booking a boudoir photo shoot! Don’t worry. I will guide you through poses, prompts, and lighting to make you feel at comfortable and just simply have fun.

Do I have to get naked?
Absolutely not! I will have a theme, location, and general styling guidelines, but it will never be a nude required photo shoot! I will work with your comfort level!

Can I get naked?
Absolutely! But please note that I only take artistic, tasteful nudes. If anything is out of my comfort zone or out of my artistic vision, I will let you know and guide you into a better position, lighting, etc.

Can I bring a friend?
Feel free to bring a friend for the makeup and hair portion of your session. Please let me know prior to your session day to ensure we will have enough space!

For the shoot itself, I do not allow anyone else to be present, even for my “girls day out” parties. I want the shoot to be all about you, and I want you to be 1000% comfortable. Even a best friend or husband can have an influence on how you feel. Anyone you may bring to the hair and make up portion can hang out somewhere nearby the photo shoot is happening to wait for you to celebrate after!

How long will the session take?
Make up and hair can take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half on average. The session itself will take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how long I plan for the model shoot and how many models I have. Overall, please allot about 2.5-3 hours of your day so we can make sure you look and feel amazing, and we can take all the pictures reflecting that!

What happens if I am late?
You time, my time, along with the glam squad, is super important to all of us. If you are less than 15 min late and all parties are available to stay later, we will continue with the full session. Any later than that, we will end on the original end time and everything will be cut short. Anything beyond 30 minutes, we reserve the right to cancel the session without a refund of your deposit. Rescheduling will not be allowed for my model call shoots.

Please do call us as a courtesy if you are running more than 5 minutes late.

What happens if I have to cancel?
If you need to cancel with more than 14 days notice, I will refund any payments made. If it is within 14 days, any payments made to that point is non-refundable or transferable. By then, I would have already booked and paid for a place, make up artist, hair stylist, and blocked the time from any potential clients so unfortunately, I won’t be able to provide a refund. I do make exceptions from time to time, especially for unpredictable and unfortunately circumstances, or if I am able to book another person for that time, or if I won’t incur any fees.

Due to the custom nature of these packages, any products/prints already purchased are non-refundable.

During Your Shoot

When would I receive my digital images?
You will receive your online, password protected, private viewing gallery within 2 weeks of your photo shoot. These will be your proof gallery. We will set up a time to go through the images together. You can let me know which ones you love, and which ones you want edited (if anything). From here, you pick the products you want to purchase (which the deposit will be applied). From the selected images, I will provide further edits (if requested/necessary) within one week if you purchase digital images, you will be able to download and share as you see fit. I will place your print and product orders at this time if you order prints or products.

If you are in a rush and need your images sooner, please let me know at the time of booking to ensure I have the capability of doing so!

Will you Photoshop me? Are you able to get rid of rolls/cellulite/any minor “imperfections”?
I generally use Photoshop to take away any non-permanent features of your body, skin, and wardrobe malfunction. Any further edits will only be done at the request of the client - you! I can get rid of those extra 5lbs, rolls, cellulite, and imperfections but on extreme cases (extensive edits that will take me over an hour), will be additional charge, generally at about $50 per image.

When would I receive my prints and products?
There is generally a turnaround time of 1 week after ordering for prints and 2-3 weeks for album and many other product creation.

I want to order prints, how should I do that?
You can do so via your online gallery directly through my print shop. I work with only the best of the best! If you want to order a size that is not available through my print shop, please let me know. I can place the order for you.

You can also download your photos and get them printed at a place of your choice. PLEASE just don’t take it to Walgreens, Costco, etc. It will change the coloring, sharpness, and overall will make the images awful. You made the time and financial investment already, please make the extra investment (if it’s not included in your package) to go to a reputable company to get your photos printed!

I want to order an album, flip book, etc. how should I do that?
Please let me know! I can go through all of the different options in the cover material, paper, number of images, size, and overall look and feel. Please allow 2-3 weeks turnaround time for albums!
